His Majesty holds talks with the Saudi Monarch

Riyadh - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday held talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz on bilateral ties and means to bolster them in various domains, the latest regional developments as well as other issues of mutual interest. The two leaders underlined keenness to enhance bilateral ties and cooperation. 

They said they were satisfied with the level of ties between the two countries, which reflected positively on the two peoples' interests.

King Abdullah II expressed appreciation of the Saudi king and Saudi Arabia’s support to Jordan to overcome economic challenges, support national economy and implement developmental programs.

The Saudi Monarch reiterated his country's support for Jordan's development and reform efforts.

The two leaders also stressed support of the Palestinians' legitimate rights to end the occupation and establish their independent state, based on the two-state solution and international terms of reference, in a way that tackles all final status issues.

On Syria, the two leaders stressed the need to find an endgame to the situation in the country within Arab consensus,  condemning violence suffered by the Syrian people.

The talks also dealt with the need to enhance Arab solidarity and crystallize unified Arab positions towards various challenges.

The talks were attended by HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, Royal Court Chief Riyad Abu Karaki, Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, Director of the King's Office Imad Fakhoury, King's Advisor for Tribal Affairs Sharif Fawaz Zaben, King's Advisor and rapporteur of the National Policies Council Abdullah Wreikat, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Meshal Zaben, Director of the General Intelligence Department Lt. General Faisal Al Shoubaki and Jordan's Ambassador to Riyadh Jamal Shamailah.

The talks were also attended by Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al Faisal, Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Saudi Intelligence Chief Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz, Member of the Cabinet and Commander of National Guard Prince Meteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and other Saudi offcials.
